So I was sitting at home playing guitar and I got a call from a buddy.
He had just gotten back from fishing, drinking and fishing all day.
- Jimmy's off on a call (coastguard) but he's gonna meet us there. There's this thing  happening at the town center.
-That's the Electronic Music Fest, I say, that ends in an hour. Why don't you come here?
So 20 mins later a stone hits my window followed by an assault of -woohoos!!!
John and someone I can't see are downstairs with the VW and Whiskey.
Someone is a guy I'll call Duderanch. I have a wee bit of a problem with him.
This is only the 2nd time I've been in the same space as him.

So even though I bitch about the delusions people have of the perfection of this island. "Vancouver Island is the most beautiful place in the world to live." Even when the rain is perpetual and never a hard rain always a wussy drizzle (I've only seen lightning 3x in 9 years). Even when it is grey and moderate from October to March. Even when the women have problems communicating properly, little girl sulking and high school politics, and the men bow until they are fucking sissified.
             The situation: Someone says a politically incorrect thing loudly and brings something confrontational into the conversation. An uncomfortable and strictly disapproving silence descends upon the room. No words are spoken, but an energetic finger-wagging is hitting the offender from all angles. Step into line says the communist manifesto. You are being scolded because you are wrong. What you are saying is unacceptable. Of course no one will actually say anything, because they are too fucking passive aggressive. I am going to fuck some random women soon. I am fucking horny and I have passed on too many ops recently. (stop)

I want to bring you an experience that is raw and true. An experience that allows you to feel the dirt and dizziness of life. I want to point towards the multiplicities. It is through rolling around in the mud that you find out who you are. Only when you pin yourself down and scream in your own face can you say, that night i had a fight with whiskey and lost, but the next time I looked at that Crown Royal all helpless in the bottle and said. Don't even try it. I'll slap you down like the wet noodle you are.
